At Him Lam International School Bac Ninh, the safety and well-being of our students are our highest priority. This policy outlines the commitment of the school to safeguarding children and ensuring a secure and supportive learning environment.
School Commitment: We are dedicated to safeguarding all students, particularly those who may be more vulnerable due to circumstances like Special Educational Needs or difficult living conditions. Abuse, neglect, or any harm will be addressed immediately to ensure the safety of our students.
Safe Recruitment and Practice: All staff members undergo rigorous background checks before working with children. The School also follows strict guidelines for safe practice and behaviour around students, and breaches of these rules may result in staff disciplinary actions.
Use of Cameras/Mobile Phones: Staff are only permitted to use mobile phones or cameras for educational purposes, with parental consent for photos. Photos must be uploaded to school platforms and deleted from personal devices immediately.
Curriculum and Equal Treatment: The School’s curriculum promotes moral, social, and cultural development and prepares students for life beyond school. We are committed to equal treatment, irrespective of race, gender, religion, or background, and we actively promote tolerance, anti-bullying, and community cohesion.
Training and Induction: All staff members receive regular training on safeguarding and child protection, ensuring they are well-equipped to recognise and respond to any signs of abuse or neglect.
Partnership with Parents: Parents play an essential role in safeguarding, and we work closely with them to ensure the welfare of their children. Concerns about a child’s safety will be communicated to parents unless it poses a risk to the child.
Reporting and Action: Any suspicion of abuse must be reported immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead, who will take appropriate actions, including liaising with external agencies if necessary.
