During the last busy days before Tet Holiday, our team including top managers and project management staff have attended the training for Him Lam International School Bac Ninh project. The training focused on introducing the International Baccalaureate Programmes and practical experiential learning activities that will be applied at the school.

During the training session, Mr. Dwayne Lehman, the Head of School, and Ms. Annebell Van Der Westhuizen, PYP Coordinator and R&D Manager, have shared their knowledge and understanding from the aspects of IB philosophy and practice, as well as how Him Lam International School are preparing to teach IBPYP and IBDP at our Bac Ninh campus.

“The training session is our attempt to help project’s staff understand: Why IB, Why PYP, Scope and Sequences, Unit Plans, Transdisciplinary units, learning centers, etc. It was our efforts to help them understand the (What, How, and Why) we teach the way we do. We look forward to all of you joining us on Professional Development is one part of the education I feel we need ongoing. Education is continuous improvement.” – Mr. Lehman expressed. This also aligns with the core value of “Life-long learning” that Him Lam International School highly regards and pursues.

This training session also shows how well-prepared we wish to be, planning for the demo classes and activities that we intend to bring to parents and students in the upcoming Open Day on February 26th 2022.
