Honoring Vietnamese Culture through History and Geography Lessons

At Him Lam Bac Ninh International School, students are not only encouraged to excel academically but also to cultivate a deep sense of patriotism and national pride. In their 4th-grade History and Geography lessons, students learn about the rich and traditional culture of Kinh Bac.
At the beginning of the lesson, the students were surprised and delighted when Ms. Hop – their teacher – entered dressed in a traditional "Quan Ho folk singer" costume, representing the cultural heritage of women in Kinh Bac. This role-playing method made learning more interesting and memorable for the students.

In this lesson, the students explored the beauty of local customs, traditional festivals, and unique dishes of Bac Ninh, such as the Lim Festival, the Phat Tich Pagoda Festival, Quan Ho folk singing, Phu The cake, and much more! The inquiry-based learning method helped them proactively search for information before class and confidently present on Kinh Bac culture.
Him Lam International School in Bac Ninh always aims to nurture a generation of students who not only possess a global mindset but also a deep connection to their homeland's cultural traditions, through lively and highly interactive lessons.
